McCaul; a handwritten historical sketch of Clemson College Baptist Church by a church clerk, November 15, 1912; and an official corporate name change certificate, 1970.

In 1907 it was determined that a church should be founded for Clemson College students and families belonging to the Baptist denomination. By 1912 work had begun on the structure. T.V. McCaul of Virginia was given pastoral duties. Clemson College Baptist Church held its first services on April 6, 1913.
